A miracle occurred

and a little girl

came to earth today.

with stardust

Heaven in her eyes

So recently with god

I am already old

I will likely not live

to see your children.

A RAINY NIGHT

The waves crash on the shore

Ever, ever the sound rolls in

The window, covered by raindrops

is golden from the light shining through.

I watch the sparkling raindrops

I listen to the crashing waves

I am filled with peace.

I sit inside where it is warm

where it is safe

a harbor from the storm.

Tonight I sit within myself

in a safe place
